Black Women Connect Networking Group & Book Club

The Black Women Network and Black Women Connect is a Toronto-based Networking and Social Club that focuses on creating a platform for Black Women to build meaningful relationships, while celebrating black culture, black literature through our Black Women Book Club and black Sisterhood.

Our book club mission is to bring Black Women together who love to read fiction and nonfiction books written by writers of African descent for meaningful conversations, connections and socialization. Each month we choose a book and use it as the foundation to discuss our own lives as black women – we, read, discuss, listen, reflect, renew, and yes, drink & eat! BWC purpose is to inform, empower, inspire, and enrich each member's life through the privilege of reading and connecting with each other.

Through Sisters in the City, we curate and plan events and activities geared towards making new friends and engaging in new experiences from wine tasting, art to dinner, movies and performances and everything in-between. These are a mixture of free and paid events.
