Calgary Women's Chorus

Calgary Women's Chorus (CWC) is an unauditioned, three-part choir that was formed in 2011 by a group of 14 women from the then disbanded Westside Women's Choir.  In 2019, the choir counts 57 members who practise once a week at St-Andrew's Presbyterian Church under the guidance of Artistic Director and Conductor, Cody Obst, also pianist, organist, vocal coach and clinician and, pianist and Assistant Director Antonina Cox, also Music Director and Organist at St-Matthew's United Church.  Throughout the year, the choir improves its singing techniques with workshops, performs in Retirement Residences & Care Centres, participates in the Knox Carol Festival & Choir Alberta's ChoralFest and, celebrates Christmas & the arrival of Spring with a seasonal concert.  The CWC's love of singing, nurturing of old and new friendships, eagerness of learning and performing in the community are what make CWC special to its members.
