Through November 13-15 2015, the University of Calgary’s Health Science Centre will host the third annual Calgary World Health Organization simulation (CalWHO). CalWHO is a not-for profit student organized conference modeled after the WHO World Health Assembly. This annual conference aims to engage students from across academic disciplines throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest in global health issues and mock policy-making. This conference provides a forum for post-secondary students from various institutions and faculties to discuss, debate and learn about pertinent global health issues. The simulation not only promotes learning across disciplines but also provides the opportunity for students to explore pragmatic global health challenges, approaches and solutions. CalWHO will support University of Calgary values including curiosity, collaboration and community.
