Change the Face of Addiction

Change the Face of Addiction is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta that is dedicated to creating awareness of the need to treat addiction and substance use with evidence, support, and compassion.

We advocate for progressive drug policies, harm reduction measures, compassionate care, and an end to the stigma associated with addiction. Our goal is to communicate the solutions and move towards changing the way those afflicted with addiction issues are perceived, valued and treated by our community. People suffering from substance-use disorders need to be treated with respect and dignity and be eligible for the same compassion, resources and healthcare dollars equal to any other person with an illness in our society. We believe that if we see the person first, then we can change the way addiction looks.
