Congress of Black Women of Canada, Ontario Region

Founded by Kay Livingstone in 1973, the Congress of Black Women of Canada (CBWC) is a national non-profit organization with chapters across Canada. The organization is dedicated to improving the lives of Black women and their families in their local and national communities.

The Congress of Black Women of Canada (CBWC), Ontario Region provides leadership and coordination among eight CBWC Ontario Chapters. With a focus on Kay Livingstone’s vision to assist Black women and their families, we collaborate to deliver programs and events that address education, health, housing and human rights. There are CBWC Chapters operating in the following Ontario cities: Ajax/Pickering, Brampton, London, Mississauga, North York, Oshawa/Whitby, Scarborough and Waterloo.
