Hamilton Children's Choir

The Hamilton Children’s Choir enjoys its reputation for being one of the leading children’s choir programs in the world. Going far beyond technical excellence, the Choir constantly dazzles audiences with its focused sound, brilliant repertoire, and captivating stage presence. Celebrating over 40 years of choral singing, the Hamilton Children’s Choir has grown to include five choirs and over 150 singers aged 5-19. The HCC’s Ilumini choir has shared the stage with world renowned international artists, including Celine Dion at the 1999 JUNO Awards, and internationally acclaimed acapella group, Rajaton.

Across Canada, North America, Europe, and Asia, the HCC has participated in numerous choral events and competitions. Most recently, the Ilumini Choir travelled to the American Choral Directors Association Conference (Minneapolis, Minnesota) as a showcase choir and to America Cantat 8 (Nassau, Bahamas). In addition to gaining international acclaim, HCC is an active part of the thriving local arts community, performing with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bach Elgar Choir, TorQ, and more. The HCC has also performed at the Pan Am Closing Ceremonies, Luminato, the Choirs & Organ Concert at Roy Thomson Hall, and enjoyed special performances at the Haida Celebration, Ontario Sings, and at Hamilton TiCats games.
