H'art Centre

Founded in 1998, H’art Centre is a non-profit, charitable arts hub where people with disabilities and those facing barriers can create, study and produce art throughout their lives and as they age in Kingston, Ontario.

It offers three programs: H'art School, THE BOX, and ABLE ARTISTS.

H'art School, a program helping adults with developmental disabilities reach their highest potential through the arts.

THE BOX, an outreach program serving a diverse population who face barriers to participating in the performing arts. Also the name of the 3,500 square foot award-winning performing arts space at the Centre.

ABLE ARTISTS is an annual series of professional development workshops led by professional artists with disabilities and leaders in the inclusive arts movement from across Canada.

Now, H'art is proud to offer the H'art Accessible Arts Program, an arts outreach that brings professional artists to long-term care homes in Kingston to offer meaningful programming to senior residents, regardless of ability.

H’art Centre is a longstanding champion for inclusiveness, public engagement and community collaboration in Kingston.
