Italian Art Center - Marcello Giorgi - Nathalie Purchio

Founding the Italian Art Center with partner Nathalie Purchio allows Marcello Giorgi’s abiding passion for classical art and sculpture to be shared with his adopted hometown of Montreal. Developing an enriching environment for artists of diverse backgrounds is the raison d’être of the Italian Art Center. Growing up in Tuscany, Italy, the epicenter of the Renaissance, Marcello Giorgi acquired his heritage from the great masters who preceded him. The deeply-held convictions of Marcello and Nathalie regarding the importance of classical art inspired them to open a school where Italian art traditions and technical knowledge will be shared with professional artist and serious amateurs.

In addition to her deep appreciation of art, Nathalie Purchio brings the exciting and visceral aspects of wine culture to the Italian Art Center. Her approach to wine fosters discovery of the world, culture and history through this delectable beverage. Purchio encourages participants to awaken their palate and experience the broad nuances of sight, smell and taste, as a prospective window into history and its rich traditions. Participants will explore the countless factors which influence the individual personality embodied in each carefully crafted wine and develop an appreciation for the subtle differences between them.
