Lambton Public Health is an official health agency established in the County of Lambton to provide efficient and effective public health programs, carried out by full-time, specially qualified staff.
Our vision is that Lambton County is a community that supports all people to strive for safety, health, and well-being.
Our mission in public health is to work with the community to: assess, promote and protect health, prevent disease and injury, and advocate for healthy public policy.
For complete information of the services that we provide to the community, visit www.lambtonhealth.on.ca.
We are governed by a board of health, which is an autonomous corporation under the Health Protection and Promotion Act, and is administered by the medical officer of health who reports to the local board of health. The board is largely made up of elected representatives from the local municipal councils.
