National Restorative Justice Symposium Committee
The National Restorative Justice Symposium (NRJS) Planning Committee is comprised of dedicated organizations whose aim is to organize the Virtual Conference for 2020 NRJS and the Vancouver 2021 NRJS.
Organizations involved in the planning committee are:

- Correctional Services Canada
- Kwantlen Polytechnique University (KPU)
- Restorative Justice Association of British Columbia (RJABC)
- Selkirk College
- Simon Fraser University (SFU)
- Six Nations Justice Program
- SmartJustice
NRJS Vision
Work towards a future that ensures and inspires safe, healthy and peaceful communities, where people live in respect for themselves and each other, utilizing a restorative approach. We aspire to the achievement of a society where the natural response to conflict and harm is restorative not punitive, relational not isolating, and healing not harmful.
NRJS Purpose
- Build & maintain collaborative partnerships
- Improve education & raise awareness about the principles and practices of restorative justice
- Support victims, offenders, & communities by improving access to information & services
