Nile Groove, an accomplished and culturally diverse 6-piece Ottawa-based pop-reggae and funk band have been grooving up the music scene with its distinguishable sound and style, performing fresh, energizing, and infectious original and cover music since its 2012 beginnings, live and on international airwaves.
Following the 2014 release of their first single "Without You", the 2015 release of their full-length debut album “Uncovered”, the 2017 release of their new single "Why It Gotta Hurt So Bad", and the release of their second studio album "Insatiable", Nile Groove has gone global.
Featured in numerous interviews and live performances on the airwaves including CBC Radio, ICI Television, CKCU FM, CHUO FM, CHIN FM and global satellite radio stations worldwide, this versatile band fusing elements of soul, pop, and jazz with reggae and funk continue to groove top regional festivals, special events, community events, private functions, and legendary nightlife live music venues.
Featured in the 2016 Chicago-based independent film "Darkness Has Covered My Light" with "Do You Mean What You Say" a reggae song from their "Uncovered" album and recognized as “Artists to Watch” in the 2015 April-June edition of Boston-based Skope Magazine, this ultimate groove machine continue to be on the rise.
Laying down their unique roots and quality vibes wherever they go, this groove machine looks forward to sharing their music with their fans and are currently working on writing their next original album.
