Okanagan Basin Water Board & Okanagan WaterWise, International Joint Commission and Washington State Department of Ecology,

International Joint Commission

The International Joint Commission prevents and resolves disputes between the United States of America and Canada under the 1909 Boundary Waters Treaty and pursues the common good of both countries as an independent and objective advisor to the two governments.

Washington State Department of Ecology

The Department of Ecology is Washington's environmental protection agency. Our mission is to protect, preserve and enhance Washington's land, air and water for current and future generations. We support environmental work throughout Washington. Nearly 70 percent of our budget is passed through to local communities to pay for projects that benefit the environment. We were founded in 1970 as the first agency in the nation dedicated to environmental protection.

Okanagan Basin Water Board

OBWB was established in 1970 as a collaboration of the three Okanagan regional districts – North, Central and Okanagan-Similkameen - to provide leadership for sustainable water management in the valley, from Armstrong to Osoyoos.

Okanagan WaterWise

Okanagan WaterWise is an education and outreach initiative of the OBWB, committed to the protection and conservation of the Okanagan's most valuable natural resource: water.
