Ottawa Art Gallery | La Galerie d'art d'Ottawa
Look for Ottawa Art Gallery Out There in your community.
During construction of our new space, the Ottawa Art Gallery Out There pop-up initiative will deliver a range of engaging arts activities throughout the Ottawa-Gatineau region in collaboration with community and festival partners, as well as local businesses in the city to offer you engaging programming in your neighbourhood. Meet us out there!
For over 25 years, the Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) is where generations of Ottawans, and visitors to our city, have come to gain a unique perspective on our place in the world.
OAG is an independent non-profit public art gallery committed to the acquisition, presentation, interpretation and dissemination of contemporary art for the benefit of the local arts community. Its programs explore a variety of issues and include exhibitions, talks, lectures, tours and publications.
The Ottawa Art Gallery has a growing permanent collection of historical and contemporary works associated with the region. It also houses the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art, which consists of more than 1,600 works of art assembled by Ottawa collectors O.J. and Isobel Firestone, who acquired the works from the early 1950s to the 1970s.
