Pacific Legal Education & Outreach Society

The Pacific Legal Education and Outreach Society (PLEO) seeks to ensure that the non-profit sector and low-income artists and arts organizations are informed about and empowered to exercise their legal rights and responsibilities under the laws which govern their activities.

Vital to the healthy functioning of our social, economic, cultural, and environmental systems, non-profits are collectively larger than forestry in their contribution to British Columbia’s GDP. Yet most non-profits are relatively small and do not have a pro-active relationship with the laws that govern them, or the resources to access legal services.

PLEO seeks to address this shortfall in knowledge and access through the creation of legal education programs and resources: https://www.pacificlegaloutreach.com/resources
