Arriving 3 months premature, Paul has exhibited a zest for life since the day he was born, despite, or perhaps because of retinopathy of prematurity, which rendered him totally blind by the time he left the hospital.

He and his wife Mary Ellen, who is also totally blind, due to  the same birth circumstances, have raised four beautiful children ranging from the ages of 19 to 28.  Paul and Mary Ellen  met through the National Federation of the Blind.

Paul  has been a psychology professor in the field of perception, for 30 years. In and out of his Nikken Wellness home, he  takes advantage of all that life has to offer. He is looking forward to water skiing again this summer, among many other activities.

Because Nikken’s Humans Being More way of living  helps Paul successfully maintain a healthy disposition, one of Paul’s life passions is to help people share the gift of Nikken with others. “The Humans Being More course is the best way I know to discover or to get started on new endeavors, or to keep on track” he says.
