Search and Rescue Association of Alberta & NorQuest College

Search and Rescue (SAR) Alberta is the provincial association for the volunteer based group for all search and rescue activities. Across Alberta there are over 1600 individual members of SAR that provide over $2.5 million annually in infrastructure support. What does that mean? Our volunteer members support regional police, fire, emergency response, security, first aid and other critical functions throughout the entire province. In 2017 the SAR groups of Alberta and their members engaged in 3012 exercises, 2119 events, and 280 incidents. This is a total of 125,088 hours in the field to help, protect and support Albertan’s in need. Without this support, Albertans wouldn’t have received the CPR they needed, the protection from further head and spinal trauma, the bleeding control needed, and the rescue to bring them home.

NorQuest College Continuing Education & Custom Training is dedicated to providing workforce relevant programs giving employers a competitive advantage through their developed talent. Our programs are designed with industry and market trends in-mind. We create cutting-edge programs sought after regionally and nationally for quality content, exceptional instructors, and our innate ability to adapt and develop training to an organization’s needs.
