Sport for Life and Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria
The Sport for Life Society is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the quality of sport and physical activity for all Canadians- including newcomer immigrant and refugee youth. Sport for Life is recognized as the global expert on the Canadian Sport for Life Movement, Long-Term Athlete Development, and physical literacy development. The purpose of the Canadian Sport for Life Movement is to improve the quality of sport and develop physical literacy. Sport for Life links sport, education, recreation, health and governments to align community, provincial, and national programming.
The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) is a long established immigrant and refugee settlement agency that helps individuals and organizations to connect across cultures. ICA provides information, support and tools to help immigrants and refugees reach their goals. By engaging people through networks, education, employment and arts programming we create a welcoming community.
