Stephen Bieda has been a pioneer in the electric vehicle industry since 1990 and has worked as an cleantech consultant since 2008. He has worked with leading NGOs, municipalities, utility companies, SMEs, enterprise level corporations and as Director of Communications & Marketing for the McMaster Institute for Automotive Research and Technology (MacAUTO). He also also worked in an executive new business development role with General Motors developing autonomous vehicle and EV infrastructure strategies for GM Canada properties and lead projects on GM's eBike and Maven car sharing programs. Stephen has served on the board of Electric Mobility Canada (EMC), The Hamilton Conservation Foundation (HCF), the Hamilton Transportation/ Mobility Task Force, Cycle Hamilton, as a Business Mentor with the Innovation Factory and as a merit judge with the Bay Area Science & Engineering Fair (BASEF). As a consultant with Sun Country Highway, Stephen lead marketing communications and project maanged over 200 EV charging station project installations across Canada. Stephen has also worked with a number of start-ups in executive consulting roles including Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) company Shweeb-Can Corporation and Illuma-Drive. Presently, Stephen works with Kia Motors Canada as as Central Region District Sales Manager.
