About Tarion

Tarion Warranty Corporation is a private, not-for-profit organization established in 1976 to serve as the administrator of the Ontario new home warranty program. This statute requires new home builders to provide homeowners with warranty coverage that is backstopped by Tarion. Tarion also establishes minimum time standards for after-sales service and facilitates disputes between homeowners and builders about warranty coverage.
