The Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) and Building Equality in Architecture Toronto (BEAT)

About the TSA:

Established in 1887, the Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) is a non-profit volunteer-based organization comprised of architects, professionals from sister organizations, and members of the community that are interested in architecture and urban issues. The TSA is the local Chapter of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), which is the licensing and regulatory body that governs the practice of architecture in Ontario.

About BEAT:

Building Equality in Architecture exists to initiate change, building momentum to create a shift in the profession of architecture. Not only for architects on an individual level, but as an instigator to raise the voice of the profession at large, integrating it into conversations about how our built environment can be shaped to be more beautiful, functional, and enhance the human experience. BEA is a national movement with chapters currently in Toronto, the Maritimes, Quebec, the Prairies, and Vancouver.
