University of Toronto Engineering Kompetition (UTEK)

The University of Toronto Engineering Kompetition (UTEK) is an annual competition targeted towards undergraduate engineering students. The two day competition gives students the opportunity to use their classroom education to discuss and solve real engineering problems. These range from design problems, case competitions and even debates surrounding the challenges within engineering and society. UTEK encourages deep collaboration, teamwork, creativity, and ingenuity among students in all of its competitions.

UTEK has been known as THE largest engineering competition at the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto. Last year, UTEK attracted over 500 future engineers overall, and sold out the majority of its competitions. The top teams from UTEK have even gone on to successfully represent the university in both the Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC), and the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC).
