About this event

15 minute 1 on 1 appointments with Dr. Alucozai, available upon request from 1:00 - 2:00pm. Please contact clip.ri@muhc.mcgill.ca for a 1 on 1.

Milad’s journey began when he immigrated to the US as a child, going on to study neuroscience, translating research into products, a successful entrepreneur in the biotech space, to his current work investing in early-stage life science startups. Milad will provide insights into what he looks for in a startup, how to spin-out of a university and turn the project into a company, important traits of successful founders, and how he evaluates early-stage companies as potential investments. The path to funding is rarely easy for an early-stage life science company. Implementing key practices early on can help you prepare for the future and identify issues that may create problems later. Understanding which key milestones investors seek can help you know when to engage and how to prepare in advance. Learn what sets companies apart and how to put your best foot forward.
