Assassin Bug is the club-focused moniker of Irish DJ and producer Sinéad Rua. Blending high-impact rhythm with deep emotional undercurrents, her sets draw from a global palette of bass-heavy sounds including jungle, dubstep, grime, footwork, electro, and experimental club. Her work is influenced by diasporic dance music traditions, underground queer rave culture, and a desire to connect the raw and the mystical through sound.
Assassin Bug has performed alongside artists like Tim Reaper, Machinedrum, Conducta, Mantra, Bell Curve, and Hamdi, and is a familiar presence in Toronto’s forward-thinking scenes with past sets for collectives including DOCD, Reconstructed Club, Promise, and Work That. Whether in a warehouse or at a festival stage, her sets are emotionally charged, percussion-driven, and intuitively woven, always chasing a sense of shared release.

Taking place every other month, the Welcome Series will feature out-of-town headliners alongside local talent, exploring a wide range of genres and styles, all with a focus on underground dance music and delivering a high-quality club experience.
