Fat positive yoga for your big, beautiful bod!

FAT+HAPPY HATHA YOGA: This six week beginner friendly online fat positive yoga series focuses on exploring the joy of yoga through a fat positive lens. If you've ever wanted to try a down dog, playfully balance, or simply touch your toes without feeling the need to lose weight first, this class is for you!

Fat+Happy Yoga challenges the notion that we cannot move joyfully in larger bodies, that movement's only focus is weight loss, and that we cannot be both happy and fat. Because we can!

You can be fat and happy, you can do yoga in a big body, and these classes will happily show you how!

Class includes:

  • a five minute theme discussion
  • 70 minute practice, including an opening and closing meditation
  • modifications for folks in larger bodies
  • space for questions after class
  • a follow up email with journaling prompts
  • a class recording, available for one week


Whether you identify as fat, full bodied, plus-sized or big bodied, please know that you deserve to find joy and freedom in movement and to feel good in your amazing body. Coming to a class that is designed specifically with you in mind is a great place to start!

FAT+HAPPY YOGA PLUS WEEKLY DEEP DIVE AND BOOK CLUB: Want to take your practice even further? Behold, the Fat+Happy Book Club!

Over six weeks, you will receive a weekly email from Helen including a deep dive on class themes inspired by the book, additional journaling prompts, and encouragement and inspo for your fat positive journey.

At the end of six weeks, we meet live on Zoom to for tea and a book club discussion.

This offering is for you if you want to bring more fat positivity into your life by reading fat positive books and discussing them in an excellent, supportive community.

Our book for this session is Dietland by Sarai Walker and our book club will meet online on Sunday March 29 at 10:30am PST.

Helen Camisa has been teaching yoga for over a decade and it was the first step in her own journey towards body acceptance. She believes that we all deserve to feel good and enjoy our bodies in this moment, rather than waiting for the "perfect time". The time is now! Helen loves exploring and sharing the ways in which she finds happiness in the skin she lives in, and she wants to help you get there too.
