Online School Event: Caretakers of the Land – Be a Good Ancestor
Overview
What does it mean to be a good ancestor—right now, in this moment?
This session invites participants to reflect on our responsibilities to the land, to one another, and to future generations. Grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing and relational accountability, Caretakers of the Land: Be a Good Ancestor explores how our everyday choices, teachings, and actions shape the world we leave behind. Through story, reflection, and practical examples, speaker, Leona Prince, will encourage students and educators to move beyond awareness toward caretaking, living, teaching, and leading in ways that honour the land as a living relation and uphold our responsibilities to those who come after us.
Recommended for Grades K - 6
