2020 Conference Theme:
A New Decade of Imagining in Education
For this year’s LTC conference theme, we strove to create an inclusive theme that examines the next ten years of envisioning possibilities in Education. We, as the next generation of educators, desire to create our own future by imagining the different voices, ways of knowing and styles of teaching. Standing at the beginning of this decade, we hope to look ahead across the 2020’s, as we mold and shape the coming years in our disciplines, and stand together as we creatively navigate these unusual times. Part of our vision for this conference included fostering scholarly collaboration between the SFU and other Universities, and the inclusion of keynote speakers from both SFU and UBC is a reflection of that vision. As both Learners and Educators, we look forward to sharing with you at the 2020 LTC Conference.
June 27 - Keynote Speaker - Dr. Celeste Snowber
Listening to our own birdsong: Cultivating wisdom as a site of alchemy
What does it mean to cultivate our own inner lives as a place of sustainability in uncertain times? How can we as educators and scholars greet the unknown and take up residence in our own creativity? This keynote will draw on ways for us to listen our own birdsong and bodily wisdom as a site of resilience and alchemy.
