This program is offered for those working in Halton and Peel regions.

The Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care program is a pre-requisite to this program. Please have your Fundamentals Program Guide with you for the virtual sessions.

Learning Objectives:

Develop trust and therapeutic relationships with the people and families you care for
Communicate effectively with people with cognitive impairments
Enhance your team communication skills
Recognize and manage conflict
Implement strategies for relieving pain, breathlessness, confusion and other symptoms
Understand the importance of your role in observing and reporting issues affecting your patient
Develop a self-care plan
Identify your role in maintaining confidentiality

To receive your certificate of completion, you must be able to attend all 3 virtual in-class sessions from 6pm - 9pm on:
