This program is offered for those working in Halton and Peel regions.
The Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care program is a pre-requisite to this program. Please have your Fundamentals Program Guide with you for the virtual sessions.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop trust and therapeutic relationships with the people and families you care for
- Communicate effectively with people with cognitive impairments
- Enhance your team communication skills
- Recognize and manage conflict
- Implement strategies for relieving pain, breathlessness, confusion and other symptoms
- Understand the importance of your role in observing and reporting issues affecting your patient
- Develop a self-care plan
- Identify your role in maintaining confidentiality
To receive your certificate of completion, you must be able to attend all 3 virtual in-class sessions from 6pm - 9pm on:

- April 9, 2024
- April 16, 2024
You will only be notified if there are not enough learners to run the program.
