Who’s Hosting?

This special year-end event is a joint collaboration between:

  • KEGS Ottawa — The Ottawa Chapter of the Canadian Exploration and Geophysical Society
  • CIM Ottawa Branch — The local branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum

Together, we’re bringing exploration, geophysics, mining, and energy professionals together for an evening of insight and connection.

What’s Happening?

Kick off the holidays with two sharp, high-impact technical talks followed by a relaxed pub social:

Technical Program @ Geological Survey of Canada (4:30–6:15 pm)

  • Quan Zhang (Ottawa University)

  • Michael Hartley (InterKnowlogy Mining & Energy)
    “Industrial Applications of AI and Performance Visualization for Mining and Energy.”
    Discover how organizations can solve the “last mile” of performance information and help people make better decisions faster.

Holiday Social @ Heart & Crown (6:30–8:30 pm)

Mix and mingle with geophysicists, explorers, miners, energy professionals, students, and curious industry followers from across the National Capital Region.

You’ll walk away with:

Good to Know

  • Cost: FREE for all attendees
  • Only Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada are allowed access to the Geological Survey Building on Booth Street
  • Government Issued Identification is required to enter the Geological Survey Building on Booth Street
  • Duration: ~4 hours
  • Arrival: Please arrive at GSC by 4:20 pm for security check & sign-in
  • Parking: Street parking or nearby options around Heart & Crown
