Vegetable Garden Planning Workshop (February 25th, 2026)
Join Friends of Allan Gardens for an informative session dedicated to maximizing your garden’s potential. We’ll guide you through the essentials of what plants need to thrive, help you select the perfect vegetables for your growing space, and show you when and where to plant everything for ideal growth. This is suitable for both in-ground gardens and balcony gardens. By the end of the workshop, you will have sketched your own garden plan and received personalized advice to ensure a successful season.
Vegetable Seed Starting Workshop (March 1st, 2026)
Ready to grow your own food? We provide the materials and the mentorship to help you start seeds at home. You’ll master the ideal timing for each type of vegetable, the inputs needed, and the planting techniques needed for germination, ensuring your plants start out strong. Plus, you’ll get your hands dirty immediately—everyone leaves with a freshly planted tray of seeds ready for transplanting this spring!
Vegetable Seedling Care Workshop (March 29th, 2026)
Turn your tiny seedlings into healthy vegetable plants. In this hands-on workshop, we demystify the seedling lifecycle, teaching you exactly what your seedlings need at every stage of growth. We'll also walk you through equipment that can help you to grow your current and future plants. If you have any seedlings that are currently struggling, bring them along for feedback or else take home some of ours! We’ll have plenty of plants on hand to demonstrate proper care techniques.
