
6 Week Couples Connection Series
Overview
Most couples don’t drift apart because they stop loving each other. They drift because life gets busy, communication narrows, intimacy becomes predictable (or disappears), and the same arguments keep looping with no real resolution.
This 6-week couples workshop is an invitation to pause, turn toward each other, and learn practical, grounded tools that bring connection back online- emotionally, physically, and relationally.
Together, we’ll explore:
- Why desire and closeness fade- and how to revive them without pressure or performance
- How to interrupt old patterns of conflict, avoidance, or disconnection
- Skills for deeper communication, safer intimacy, and mutual understanding
- Practices that help couples feel seen, chosen, and desired again
- Simple embodied exercises you can take home and integrate into real life
This is NOT couples therapy and not a lecture series. It’s an experiential, educational workshop designed to meet couples where they are- curious, stuck, hopeful, or simply wanting more.
The work is trauma-informed, consent-based, and suitable for couples at many stages of relationship. You’ll be invited, never forced, to participate at your own pace.
Format:
• 6 weekly sessions
• Small, confidential group setting
• Combination of guided discussion, education, and experiential practices
• No explicit content—focused on connection, safety, and growth
Facilitators:
* Hosted by Shari Derksen, PhD, R. Psych., CST, bringing clinical depth, sexual health expertise, and psychological safety.
* Sessions facilitated by Terri (WithTerriLee), Certified Relationship & Embodiment Coach, offering grounded, heart-centered practices that translate insight into lived experience.
