This course builds on the foundational skills from Basic Threat & Risk Assessment, focusing on factors that impact the threat assessment at each stage, advanced DTA techniques, strategic interviews, and practical application through interactive case scenarios and tabletops.

- Review of Basic Threat & Risk Assessment
- Common themes and considerations during steps 1, 2, and 3 of the Basic Threat & Risk Assessment
- General understanding of issues to be considered to make an appropriate referral for external supports
- Practice and refine skills in conducting strategic interviews
- Language analysis during interviews
- Legal and primary considerations for BDTA
- Advanced DTA techniques to assess and manage risk
- Assessing and responding to anonymous threats
- Best practices when creating intervention/management and safety plans
- Progress monitoring
- Inventory of care support and services
- Fully interactive case scenarios
