About the Summit

The African Descent Summit 2026, hosted by African Descent Ontario, is a four-day international gathering that celebrates the global achievements, legacy, and future of People of African Descent held during one of the most powerful moments of global unity: the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Taking place in Toronto, one of the official host cities of the tournament and a vibrant center of African-descended communities, this summit will shine a spotlight on the vital contributions of People of African Descent in football (soccer), culture, innovation, community development, and leadership.

Through powerful keynote presentations, youth-led forums, cultural showcases, innovation labs, and international networking opportunities, the Summit will serve as a platform for connection, recognition, empowerment, and global action.
