Description
Please join CABGU for a public event to increase awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia and neurodegenerative aging.
Four panelists will examine some of the latest science, share best practices, look at the role of family and community and answer audience questions. Our keynote speaker and special guest is Dr Deborah Toiber, PhD, a researcher from Ben-Gurion University who has made a recent breakthrough in the study of neurodegenerative aging. She will be joined by Laura Feldman, Support and Education Coordinator from the Alzheimer Society of BC, Joanne Haramia, Director of Seniors Services at Jewish Family Services and Dr Janet Kushner Kow, Head UBC Division of Geriatric Medicine.
Our panel will be moderated by Professor Emertius Gloria Gutman from Simon Fraser University's Gerentology Research Centre.
