Overview

Join us for a fascinating discussion with Hallie Siegel, CEO, Canadian Robotics Council, at AMC Atlantic's Janaury Meeting - don't miss out!

Topic: Robotics in Manufacturing

Please join us for our first AMC Atlantic meeting of 2026! The January session will spotlight one of the most transformative technologies shaping the future of manufacturing: Robotics. Led by Hallie Siegel, CEO of the Canadian Robotics Council (CRC), and joined by co-presenters Rbot9, this session will explore how robotics can drive productivity, improve safety, support workforce needs, and enhance competitiveness in Canadian manufacturing.

Founded in 2017, Rbot9 is a Canadian engineering firm specializing in the development and integration of its proprietary Rocap cable robot technology. As robotic inventors—not just automation integrators—Rbot9 brings deep expertise in solving complex, unsolved automation challenges. Their multidisciplinary team spans project management, mechatronics, robotics, and software development, with a mission to help companies address labour shortages and health & safety concerns through long-range automation solutions.

This session will include a discussion on:

  • Current and emerging applications of robotics in manufacturing, including automation for production, material handling, quality control, and operational efficiency.
  • Barriers and opportunities for adoption, particularly for small and mid-sized manufacturers.
  • The growing need for a National Robotics Strategy to ensure Canada remains globally competitive, supports innovation, and accelerates advanced manufacturing capabilities across regions.
  • Canada’s robotics talent landscape, highlighting world-class research, a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, and innovation hubs—along with challenges such as lagging adoption, limited awareness, and skills gaps.

Participants will gain insights from industry leaders and have an opportunity to discuss how robotics can support their operations, identify collaboration opportunities, and help strengthen the region’s advanced manufacturing capacity.

This will be an important session for organizations looking to stay ahead of technological change and contribute to a unified national vision for robotics in manufacturing.
