An Evening of Queer Shakespeare

Overview

A Shakespeare-inspired Cabaret, followed by staged readings from two Shakespeare adaptations in development.

Join us for An Evening of Queer Shakespeare.

The evening will begin with a Shakespeare-inspired Cabaret, followed by staged readings from two Shakespeare adaptations in development:

ROSALINE (by Elyssia Giancola) is a retelling of Romeo and Juliet as it really happened, with Romeo’s ex Rosaline added firmly back into the narrative.

Such Ado! (by Emily Elizabeth) is a contemporary queer retelling of Much Ado About Nothing.

The evening will take place at Cake Cabaret (627 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4K 1R2) beginning at 7:30pm and running approximately 100 minutes.

Seating in a first come-first serve basis, doors open at 7:00pm, so join us for a drink before the show. Bar serving drinks and cake will be open all night. Show begins at 7:30pm.
