April's Questions: A Storytelling Session for Kids and Adults

This interactive storytelling session brings together storytelling, music, and visual art to explore childhood, education, and access to learning in rural and remote communities across South America. Through a collective reading of April’s Questions, projected illustrations, and a facilitated conversation, the event invites kids and adults to reflect on the role of culture, creativity, and storytelling in building more inclusive and human-centered education systems.

About the Project

April’s Classroom is a project dedicated to strengthening access to education through the arts in rural and remote communities across South America. Grounded in the belief that culture is a fundamental right, the project brings visibility to artistic practices, creative resources, and storytelling as essential tools for learning, critical thinking, and emotional development.

At the heart of the project is April’s Questions, a story that places education at the center by giving voice to the questions children ask when access to learning is limited. Through storytelling, illustration, and community engagement, April’s Classroom seeks to highlight educational inequalities while proposing art as a meaningful pathway toward more inclusive and culturally grounded education systems.
