Aquatic Terrarium Workshop at Allan Gardens

With Artist Jackson Carey

📍 Allan Gardens Children’s Conservatory, 19 Horticultural Ave, Toronto
🗓️ Saturday, December 21st or Saturday, February 15th
🕒 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Join local artist Jackson Carey inside one of Allan Gardens’ historic greenhouses for a hands-on workshop where you’ll design and build your own aquatic terrarium.

Working with a mix of aquatic, terrestrial, and floating plant species alongside volcanic rock, you’ll create a self-contained aquatic garden — a living piece of art that captures the tranquil beauty of the water’s edge.

This two-hour workshop introduces some advanced terrarium-building techniques. No prior experience is necessary, but come ready to experiment and challenge yourself creatively.

All materials are provided, along with warm herbal tea to enjoy as you build, connect with nature, and tap into your creative side.

Choose from two available dates — December 21st or February 15th — each offering the same immersive experience.

Ticket Options:

  • Individual Admission – one participant creating their own terrarium.
  • Pair Admission – two participants collaborating on one shared terrarium, a special way to spend time together.

🌿 Tickets are limited — reserve your spot today!
