Description

A beginner-friendly introduction to creating programmable LED projects.

In this workshop we will be walking you though the process of setting up the Arduino IDE, uploading code to an Arduino compatible board (micro-processor), connecting a addressable RGB LEDS (Neopixels) to a micro-controller, programming the micro-controller to create patterns with the LEDs.

At the end of this workshop you will be able to create patterns for LED strips that you can embed in your projects.

Prerequisite: None
Equipment: You must bring your own laptop.
Duration: 3.5 hours

Hardware included
- USB micro
- ESP8266
- 1 meter WS2812B 30 LEDs
- 2.1 mm female barrel jack.
