Baseworks Open Day Montreal: Introduction to Movement & Awareness (Weekend)

By Baseworks

Overview

Free 90-min intro to systematic movement education. Develop body awareness & cognitive skills through guided practice. No experience needed.

Experience a Different Approach to Movement and Awareness

This free 90-minute session introduces the Baseworks Method—a systematic approach to developing body awareness and motor control as transferable skills.

We work with everyday movements (standing, floor transitions, position shifts) approached with precision and attention to how you organize physically. This isn't fitness, yoga, or therapy—it's educational training for perception and physical intelligence.

WHAT HAPPENS

- Movement Practice (60 min): Guided sequences introducing core principles through specific forms and occasional partner work

- Context & Q&A (30 min): Discussion with the developers about methodology and next steps

WHO THIS IS FOR

Professionals and creatives interested in:

→ How physical awareness affects mental performance

→ Systematic approaches beyond typical fitness/wellness

→ Managing chronic tension through skill development

→ The relationship between movement and cognition

Prerequisites: Ability to stand without support and get up from the floor independently. No previous movement experience required.
