Come join us this January for the 3rd edition of Big Joke Smackdown 🥊, Toronto’s most unserious stand-up competition. We're once again inviting some of our favorite rising comedians to our stage, to see if they can win over the crowd and earn our highly coveted, one-of-a-kind, Golden Eggplant Trophy™ ✨🍆 !!

As a member of the audience, YOU will cast your Top 3 rankings that will decide the sole winner and the numerous losers. The winner will be showered in praise and glory that will give them a dangerous amount of overconfidence.

The evening will be capped off with a set from a pro headliner and a ceremony for the victor.

👑 Kalin T. Spence @ironkalin: The returning champion, defending his title. With sharp wit and street-smart charm, Kalin is a smooth-talker with a geeky side for anime. (Comedy Bar, Dark Matter Podcast, Comedy Lab)

🎤 Amanda Custodio @amandathecustodian: The founder/queen of "The Whore Store", and a master of the roast (JFL Toronto, Sorry! Comedy Festival)

🎤 Artemis @scoobert_comedy: The ex-emo girl who grew up and is ready to tell everyone how much they annoy her (Comedy Bar, Comedy Lab)

🎤 Kendelle Labella @comickendelle: A millennial menace with an axe to grind, roasting modern absurdities and spinning her own misadventures into comedy gold (Ladyfest Toronto, Comedy Lab)

🎤 Marissa Gregoris @gorgeous_gre: A standup comedian, musician and drag king with a deep bag of jokes (Ladyfest Toronto, Comedy Bar)

🎤 Miguel De La Barrera @miguel_dlbcomedy: The slick Latino with good game and hilarious stories (Prove You're A Comic finalist, opener for Luis .J Gomez)

Your headliner:

🔥 Patrick Haye @patrick.haye: This Brampton native grew up acting the fool in the school classroom. A frequent headliner at Yuk Yuk's locations nationwide, his storytelling and observational style has made him a favourite in the comedy circuit. (Just For Laughs festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Halifax Comedy Festival)
