Black Cake Day 2025
Overview
What is Black Cake Day 2025?
Join us for a Caribbean Christmas celebration and fundraiser hosted by Blackhurst Cultural Centre! This is our 9th annual Black Cake Day, held on the first Saturday in December every year.
This festive event will feature a joyful celebration of Caribbean Christmas traditions, music, and storytelling. With Black Cakes as our focus, we invite you to sample a variety of black cakes, each available for $2 per sample. Attendees will also be encouraged to participate in a “People’s Choice Award” to vote for the best Black Cake of the day. Voting will be done via private ballot submissions, and the winner will be announced at the event’s end.
We’ll also have a raffle with exciting prizes, so bring cash for ticket purchases! If you need cash on hand, an in-house ATM is available for your convenience (service charges apply).
