Bloom United in Music

Join us for Bloom United in Music, a monthly intimate concert series that brings together local artists from around the world to share their music, stories, and cultures. At Bloom, we believe that music is a bridge—uniting people across cultures, generations, and experiences.

Through this series, we aim to celebrate diversity and strengthen our community by coming together in harmony. Immerse yourself in an evening of international sounds, cultural storytelling, and community connection. Each performance offers the chance to not only enjoy beautiful music but also to learn about the artist’s background, heritage, and creative journey. Set in a cozy space surrounded by plants, the concert is designed to be a full sensory experience—inviting you to relax, listen deeply, and connect with others through music. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available to enjoy throughout the evening.

Every 3rd Saturday of the month

Time: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm, doors close promptly at 7:00 pm)

Location: 7 Ricketts Road (free parking available)

Children are welcome (with parental supervision). To make the night enjoyable for little ones, coloring sheets will be provided.

Ocean Bound—the musical partnership of Julien Bouchard and Kristen English—is a captivating alternative-folk duo whose shimmering harmonies and genre-spanning repertoire enchant audiences across Canada. Rooted in the rich musical traditions of the Maritimes, Julien and Kristen bring over a decade of performing experience to the stage, blending folk, Celtic, indie, pop, and rock with effortless artistry.

Kristen’s clear, agile soprano pairs beautifully with Julien’s warm, resonant baritone, creating a sonic palette that is both powerful and intimate. A versatile vocalist with impressive range, Kristen elevates every melody, while Julien’s skillful guitar, percussion, and mandolin playing provide a lush, vibrant foundation. Together, their voices interweave in rich harmonies inspired by artists such as The Once, Nickel Creek, and The Rankin Family.

Ocean Bound’s performances showcase both their expansive collection of reimagined covers and their own original works. Their charismatic stage presence, musical mastery, and heartfelt connection bring joyous energy to audiences of all sizes—whether in concert halls, festivals, or private gatherings from Newfoundland to Ontario.

When they’re not on stage, Julien and Kristen can be found bouldering, hiking, or cooking together—but they are always, in one way or another, drawn back to the sea.
