Boozy Lectures Presents Human Again: Reconnecting The Senses

By Boozy Lectures

Overview

Our final lecture of the year is a special one! Reconnect with yourself, others, and the world around you - right on time for the holidays.

In an already disconnected society, loneliness becomes amplified when days are shorter, colder, and when the holidays are around the corner. Taking care of our mental health during this time of the year begins with connection - to ourselves to others, and the world around us.

This is the spirit of our final lecture of the year which will be a special one!

In Partnership with Kindred

We're proud to highlight Kindred - a mental health organization making high-quality, affordable counselling rapidly accessible to foster human connection. We welcome donations to help Kindred continue providing care when people need it most.

With Music by Consortium Convenes

Our friends at Consortium Convenes, a monthly social club uplifting passionate creatives, will set the community atmosphere with live music.

This Week's Lecture

Our sense of smell does far more than we realize. It shapes our emotions, memories, social bonds, and even our sense of reality - mostly without us noticing.

In this lecture, Dr. Anastasiia Stepanchuk will explain how smell works in the brain, why it's tied to emotion and what happens when it stops working.

Dr. Anastasiia Stepanchuk is a neuroscientist who works at the intersection of science, scent, and human experience. With a background spanning biophysics, protein misfolding, sensory education, and phenomenology, she runs ol.facto - a studio that translates brain science into scent-based experiences for everyone from dementia care programs to curious humans.

Don't miss out on this evening for your senses and to celebrate your contribution to the Boozy Lectures community!

We advise arriving early to enjoy some live music and get seated comfortably.
