Boredom Training
Overview
You used to be able to sit with yourself. Not long ago, maybe when you were younger, maybe before smartphones, maybe before life got this loud. You could be bored without it feeling unbearable. Let’s just say it - you could actually get bored because there was nothing to fill the space with.
You could sit in silence without reaching for something to fill it.You could be still without your brain immediately screaming that you're wasting time, that you’re lazy,
That freedom was stolen from you. Not maliciously. But systematically.Through constant notifications and endless content. The pressure to always be productive, optimized, "on."
Your brain has been trained, hijacked, really,to need constant stimulation. And now? The second there's space, what do you do? Some people reach for their phone. Others their headphones and some open the fridge.
And here's what that's costing you: You can't focus on what actually matters.
You set goals and lose momentum. You know what you want but can't stay with it long enough to make it happen. You're busy, but nothing's really moving forward. It's not your fault. But it is your problem to solve.
Boredom Training is how you take it back.
Not boredom as "I have nothing to do." Boredom as space and stillness. How peaceful would it feel to be able to be WITH yourself without needing to escape.
Because on the other side of that? Everything you've been working toward becomes accessible. Clarity. Focus. Self-trust. The ability to actually follow through.
