Breathe to Restore Life: Meditation & Breathwork for Teens
Overview
This class is designed to help you breathe to restore life. Its purpose? To bring you back to equilibrium.
Teens today are under constant stress — school, screens, grades, and social pressure. Life can feel like nonstop motion, with no time to pause. Nobody teaches you how to check in with your body, or how to know if what you’re doing actually feels right.
This class changes that.
- You don’t have to be anyone.
- You don’t have to prove anything.
- You’re just here to breathe, relax, and reset.
Each session includes:
- 25 minutes of guided breath practice — simple and beginner-friendly
- 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) — lying down, letting go
- 15 minutes of sharing & Q&A — optional, in a chill group setting
No judgment. No pressure. Just space to slow down and feel like yourself again.

For Parents
If you’ve noticed your teen is maxed out and stressed, and you’re worried about adding one more activity, this class is the opposite. It’s the reset that helps them handle everything else better.
There’s a Chinese saying:
“Sharpening the knife never took time away from cutting the wood.”
This is that sharpening. Even if your teen has a packed schedule, this hour gives them tools to stay balanced.
They can join from home or come in person for a little social connection — in a space where everyone is simply expected to relax and do nothing.
Health & Safety Notice: Important for Parents & Guardians
Breathwork and mindfulness are complementary practices, but they are not a substitute for clinical mental health care.
If your teen is currently experiencing significant mental health challenges, these must first be assessed and stabilized by a traditional healthcare practitioner (such as a doctor, psychiatrist, or licensed therapist).
Following stabilization, Nahal Haghbin may be able to assist your teen with Integrative Yoga Therapy practices, depending on the severity of the mental health challenge.
If you have any concerns about your teen's readiness for a group setting, please book a private session first:
Nahal Haghbin is an Integrative Yoga Therapist who offers personalized one-on-one sessions. These are essential to ensure your teen receives the right support and that the group class is a safe and effective environment for them.
