Overview

A free career program for internationally trained teachers seeking employment in child care.

Join us on January 8, 2026 for a free, online session about the Bridge to Work: Explore a Career in Child Care by the YMCA of Northern Alberta.

The Bridge to Work program is funded and runs for 16 weeks. It starts with two weeks of workplace training, including First Aid and CPR Level C. After the training, participants get real work experience through a 16-week placement in a licensed child care centre.

This free online session, hosted by the Language Assessment, Referral, and Counselling Centre (LARCC), is open to everyone and will guide you through your options, answer your questions, and explain how this program can help you move toward your goals.
