Bridges Out of Poverty Workshop
Overview
This workshop is a comprehensive approach to understanding poverty. Bridges Out of Poverty uses the lens of economic class and provides concrete tools and strategies for a community to understand and address poverty collaboratively.
The Bridges curriculum was updated with the fifth edition release post pandemic in 2022. The workshop has been revised with current and relevant data, information and input from international Getting Ahead graduates.
Participants of this workshop will:
• Examine the essential resources by which you create stability
• Discover the causes of poverty
• Create and analyze mental models of economic environments
• Discover the hidden rules of economic classes
• Analyze our language and story structures
• Discuss family and support systems, and the importance of building social capital
• Learn new tools and strategies for improving relationships, engagement and outcomes.
This training assists community businesses and organizations, health, employment and social service agencies, employers and community members collectively gain insight and strategies to ultimately create stability for all.
Please join us for this interactive and engaging day in the following time zones:
9am to 3:30pm Pacific, 10am-4:30 Mountain, 11am-5:30pm Central, 12pm-6:30pm Eastern and 1pm-7:30pm Atlantic.
