ByWard Battles: Popping Edition

Join Moov Ottawa Dance and some of the freshest Hip Hop Dancers in the East Coast compete for the cash prize on Thursday July 7, 2022 for our Summer Series "ByWard Battles". Moov Ottawa has been well known for their hype dance dance battles in the ByWard Market, Chinatown and Ottawa City Hall and they're excited to bring back the vibe! Join them and support the vibrant Hip Hop Dance Scene in Ottawa, and beyond! Many folks from Toronto, Montreal and even the US come out to Moov's events and they never disappoint!

PRICE: This is a donation-based event as it is run in a public space. Dancers must pay 10$ CAD and for our Spectators/Audience, our minimum donation is 10$ per person. You will be able to input your amount when RSVPing.. This helps run the event for you and the cash donated in the pot* will also go to the artists entertaining you! Thank you so much!

Location: George Street Plaza (55 ByWard Market Square)

Date: Thursday July 7th, 2022

Time: 6-9PM

Schedule: DJ starts at 6PM, Battles begin at 7PM. Last call for dancer sign up at 645PM. Event ends at 9PM

100$ Cash prize + the pot*

SPECTATORS: Feel free to dance along in the cyphers and participate in the social aspect of the event

-This is an all ages event but please be aware you are coming into a space that is meant for Street Dance and Hip Hop culture. Music, gestures and social norms may not be to your taste but you have made the choice to attend. Not all music is censored and not all social norms are your norms. Please be mindful prior to attending.

-All dancers and spectators are attending at their own discretion. You are responsible for your wellbeing and all possible injuries. Moov Ottawa Dance and Ottawa Markets will not be responsible for any injuries during this event.
