CAIDA hosts a virtual AI conference featuring research presentations, panel and poster sessions, and industry networking.

About this Event

UBC's Centre for Artificial Intelligence Decision-making and Action (CAIDA) invites you to the conference "Emerging Technologies: BC's AI Showcase".

The conference will explore emerging and disruptive technologies and connect participants with BC’s leading thought leaders, researchers, and industry experts in the field of AI. Discussions will focus on the development and advancement of fundamental AI research in BC, as well as its applications in health and manufacturing.

The day will include:

- Three concurrent virtual presentations in Health, Manufacturing, and Fundamental Science

- A Panel Discussion with our keynote speakers

- A Poster Session with BC’s leading AI graduate students

- and Networking with BC’s local AI community

Join us for a day of multi-disciplinary exploration and networking with BC's leading AI experts.

Student Poster Session:

You can submit your abstract here. See below for submission details.

Are you a grad student working under the banner of AI? Does your research focus on fundamental science or on applications of AI in either health or manufacturing?

CAIDA invites you to present your research at our virtual student poster session on November 25th.

Space is limited, so we ask that you submit your research abstract to our organizing committee.

The top 20 abstracts in each theme (Fundamental Science, Health, and Manufacturing) will be invited to present a poster.

Why should you participate?

The poster session will allow you to showcase your AI research while networking with industry and peers.

Preparing Your Abstract:

  1. Prepare an abstract of no more than 250 words.
  2. Provide two keywords for your abstract.
  3. Choose your stream (Fundamental Science, Manufacturing, or Health)
  4. Register and Submit your Abstract by October 19th, 4pm PST.

Please note: Space is limited, we cannot guarantee your abstract will be selected to present.
