About this Event
Sponsored by the Michael Kamin Hart Fund (AYA Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Center) and C17 Network, this symposium will aim to highlight new advances in AYA oncology from both researchers and community partners.
Target audience: health care providers, trainees, researchers
All welcome: patients, community organizations, advocacy groups, government, hospital administration
You will receive a TAX RECEIPT for your registration fee/donation - MINIMUM $25. Additional donation welcome.
THEMES/LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. TEACH THE DOCTOR: Advanced cancer/palliation, recognize mental health issues in patients, teach key skills/tools to improve care delivery
2. INNOVATION IN AYA ONCOLOGY: harms and benefits of cannabis, supportive therapies, other treatments/services/programs
3. GENERAL CARE AND SURVIVORSHIP: improving all aspects of the cancer journey

Abstracts will be reviewed by a scientific committee and only the highest quality abstracts will be selected for 8 minute ORAL PRESENTATIONS. [there will be no posters]
